While FHD (1080p) displays offer better frame rates, some people prefer higher resolution images. Not only this, the latest graphics cards are more than capable of delivering good fps while offering better visual quality. While this requires a powerful setup, there are some that can be used with a 4K monitor, giving you the best of both worlds.

Design
The BenQ MOBIUZ EX3210U doesn't stand out as a gaming monitor when viewed from the front. The back is sleek and very light grey, almost white, with the MOBIUZ logo embossed on the left side (seen at the back). There is a slot in the center for mounting brackets, with a quick release button at the bottom. Then a thin border is made on each edge. The last half of this line, or to the outer edges, is a fixed LED strip. While the LEDs are there, they aren't very bright and don't reflect well on your wall, so if you're facing a wall, you won't get good lighting behind your monitor. Above the sound is the speaker grill behind the 5W woofer, with the words 'Superior sound by treVolo' printed in grey.
There are ports located under the stand jack. Looking down, the left edge has a power port, two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4, a 3.5mm audio port, a USB-B hub port, and four USB-A 3.0 ports. Once you have everything connected and set up, there is a panel that you can cut out to hide the connecting cables. To the right of this is a small locking slot to secure the controller to the table if needed.
There are almost no physical top and side bars, and the bottom edge is only an inch and a quarter. Unlike most monitors with thick bezels, this one serves a good purpose with two-watt speakers on the front. The BenQ logo is on the left and the HDRI logo is on the right, with a quick toggle button at the bottom. In the center of the bottom edge is a sensor that automatically adjusts the display's brightness and color modes based on the light and time of day. This feature is based on BenQ's Brightness Intelligence Plus (BI+) technology, which works as well as I've seen in other BenQ monitors before.

Below the bottom edge, on the right side of the controller, are three buttons and a joystick. From right to left are the power button (white when on and orange when off), the menu/direction key, and the two enter/view keys.
The stand is also very difficult. The stand is very light grey, almost white, with a cutout at the bottom for cable management. The legs are attached to the stand on the table, leaving a small opening on the back of each side, suitable for passing the mouse and / or keyboard cable. The legs are orange and gray with a natural orange and gray stem, adding a pop of color to the numbers. The stand is adjustable in height (100mm/3.93 inches), swivel (15°/15°) and tilt (-5° to 15°), so you can adjust it to your preferred angle.
The controller also has a convenient remote control. The panel is very small, 4" long, 1 3/4" wide and 3/8" thick. Black color, Benquio logo engraved on the plastic bottom. Like buttons, the power and source buttons are on the top, the control wheel and OK button are on the bottom. The HDRI and Game Mode buttons are on the bottom. Two additional three buttons each complete the controls and include brightness, menu, equalizer, mute, volume down, and volume up. The remote control is simple but comfortable and works well.
While most monitors come with either an HDMI or DisplayPort cable, the EX3210U includes both, which is nice too.
The meeting
The controller requires some assembly, but is fairly simple. The upright arm attaches to the legs with a set screw for easy removal and attachment. Once attached, the entire base simply slides and clicks onto the back of the monitor. A quick release button makes it easy to remove the case. As mentioned above, there is a cable cover that can be easily attached after all the necessary cables are connected.

Ease of use
BenQ MOBIUZ EX3210U is easy to use after assembly. Pressing the power button turns it on and off, the joystick makes it easy to access and change menu settings, and the Enter and HDRi buttons work as you'd expect. Adding a remote control is also a good idea. The buttons on the remote control make it easier to access color mode, sound settings, game mode, source switching and the settings menu.
Display
My default display is 5440x1440, which I find adequate for daily work and gaming, especially with the extra real estate. But even if I have to set the display parameters to 125% or 150% (the joy of old age), I'm always surprised when I turn on the 4K monitor. But, as expected, the EX3210U's display panel is crisp and clear, and colors are good too, with 98% DCI-P3 and 99% AdobeRGB color spectrum coverage. As for HDR, the VESA DisplayHDR 600 has an HDR brightness of 600 nits (typically 300 nits). BenQ improves HDR quality by integrating HDRi adaptive technology. You can read more about it on the BenQ website or in the video below.
In general, colors look good on the monitor, with beautiful blacks. The DCI-P3 coverage is also decent, and HDR and the various game modes work well, changing different screen settings depending on the game. Various color modes are included including Cinema HDRi, Custom, DisplayHDR, ePaper, FPS, Game HDRi, M-Book, Racing game, RPG and sRGB to adjust the display to your personal preferences. . Additionally, you can switch between FPS mode, Motion Blur Reduction, Color Vibrance, Light Tuner, FreeSync Premium Pro and Black eQualizer for a more personalized gaming experience.
Please accept account. The Forza Horizon 5 images below show the rough differences between the different modes so you know what to expect. As you know, it is very difficult to describe the exact quality of the screen.

Performance
As for monitor performance, I had no issues with monitor performance while using the BenQ MOBIUZ EX3210U 4K HDR gaming monitor. It turned on very quickly and the included remotes worked well for quick menu access or changing settings on the fly. Gaming was also a joy with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms MPRT response time. Together, these features make for a smooth gaming experience, and I didn't experience any stuttering or screen tearing.
When it comes to actual gaming performance, you need a very powerful setting to take advantage of high refresh rates at 4K graphics settings. As tested on a gaming PC with 12th Gen Intel® Core™ i9-12900K liquid-cooled processor, 2TB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD, NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3090 graphics with 24GB GDDR6X dedicated memory and HyperXDR3 64GB memory: MHz XMP Heatsink RAM , here are the average frame rates of my tested games at the highest graphics resolution settings.
Full HD: | QHD | 4K UHD | |
Call of Duty: Warzone: | 178 fps | 153 fps | 98 fps |
Waste 5: | 162 fps | 138 fps | 94 fps |
Forza Horizon 4 | 226 fps | 210 fps | 160 fps |
Forza Horizon 5 | 120 fps | 107 fps | 81 fps |
Tactical technique | 190 fps | 139 fps | 76 fps |
Heroes of the storm | 300 fps | 260 fps | 200 fps |
Middle Earth. The shadow of war | 208 fps | 173 fps | 136 fps |
Grave robber | 425 fps | 299 fps | 156 fps |
Wolfenstein. Yang blood (river) | 263 fps | 213 fps | 172 fps |
Wolfenstein. Young Blood (Lab X) | 179 fps | 181 fps | 175 fps |
World War Z (Vulcan on) | 324 fps | 242 fps | 133 fps |
Additionally, with HDMI 2.1 and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support, this gaming monitor performs well with Xbox Series X for 4K @ 120Hz gaming. Forza Horizon 5 , Hellblade. Sacrifice of the Sunnah and Call of Duty. Games like Warzone looked great when connected to my console. It also supports PlayStation 5 running at 4K@120Hz gaming settings.
Sound quality
This is almost always one of my favorite parts when I review demos. Usually, at least until recently, monitor speakers weren't very good. It reminds me of first generation phone or laptop speakers in many ways - small and not too loud. Fortunately, while I'm still not a fan of monitor speakers, companies like Benkey want to change that.
In the BenQ Mobiuz EX3210U, the company has implemented the treVolo 2.1 audio system into the display. First, I should mention that the volume controls are independent of the Windows volume controls. So before using the monitor for sound, make sure the Windows volume is set to 100% and use the remote control to adjust your system volume. The dual 2W speakers are pretty loud, which is good, and while the bass is there, it's a bit muffled at times and not as deep and rich as you'd like. Again, while there's a separate 5W woofer on the back of the monitor, it's not a separate subwoofer like other sound systems. Five sound equalization modes change the sound depending on what you're playing or listening to. The remote control (or OSD) allows you to switch between FPS, RCG (Racing), SPG (Sports), Cinema or Pop/Live. Unfortunately, the controller doesn't have a dedicated EQ, so you're stuck with one of the five presets.

While the monitors still have some movement, the BenQ MOBIUZ EX3210U is pretty decent and matches the SoundBlaster soundbar I've been using for a few years now. Of course, it won't replace a good headset in first-person shooters like Warzone , but it works well for many other games.
Microphone quality
This is a first for me as far as I can remember. You may be wondering why there is a microphone quality section in a monitor review. Simple reason. BenQ has MOBIUZ EX3210U. The microphone uses an AI chip with a private mode setting that suppresses background noise, including background sounds, keyboard clicks, and mouse clicks.
I tested it in a Warzone game to see how it fits in the game. Overall I was very impressed. It did a good job of reducing most of the clicks on my mechanical keyboard, and other members commented that they could easily hear me even though I was a bit further away and had to talk a bit. Other players didn't comment and I was concerned about the presence of speakers on the board.
Cost
At $999.99 MSRP, the BenQ MOBIUZ EX3210U will set you back a pretty penny. But if you have a system that supports it, this display will offer huge improvements to your setup. If that's too expensive for you, there's also a 27-inch version that retails for $899.99. Personally, though, it's better to spend the extra $100 for the extra 5-inch (diameter) screen. Although quite expensive, with audio and microphone, 4K image quality and HDMI 2.1 support, they offer good value. Well, with the extra ports, you can use it as a mini TV depending on your setup.
At the time of this review, both are listed on BenQ's website for $100, $899.99, and $799.99, respectively. If you check Amazon, the current deals are higher, with the 32-inch version going for over $800 and the 27-inch for over $700.

To move
If your system can handle it or you have an Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5, the BenQ MOBIUZ EX3210U 4K Gaming Monitor is a great choice. While it doesn't have the best speakers, it sounds much better than other monitors and laptops with speakers. This game show was an easy choice for Techaeris Finals 2022.
