Nail Tech Talk: Hannah Miles Of Nails By Han

Hannah's interest in nails started when she was 13 or 14 and getting her nails done after school. During the lockdown, she instilled her love for nails. "Like many people, I do nothing but scroll through social media. I bought some nail beads and started watching the lessons every day. I was blown away by all these amazing nail artists creating the most amazing work,” she recalls.

This led to Hannah researching nail courses and she eventually enrolled in online training to get her qualifications.

"Glitter is very popular with my clients, especially glitter," says Hannah. The most popular style with my clients are french tips, but many of them vary from white to shiny or colored tips.

"I follow so many amazing nail techniques that produce amazing work that I'm lucky enough to invite my friends over. I love to be inspired by others and twist my own design or change colors. I try the Instagram scroll page and post, swipe, save. and whatever else I want to try screenshot of which image I'm also a member of Nail Tech Org where you can get hundreds of tutorials so a lot of my inspiration comes from the videos I watch there.

"I work part-time in salons, so the next step in my career is to go to salons full-time when I have a full client. I also want to work more with my favorite brand and do some collaborations this year. Be a dream for me."

"I love everything about the nail industry, especially meeting and talking to new people every day and being creative with nail design," she says. "Each pair of nails is different and I love that. I also love the support that comes from the nail industry - it's amazing to me the number of nail technicians you can connect with all over the world. I'm amazed at how beautiful and helpful people are."

“Being a nail technician is not a job for me. I woke up in the morning and wanted to work!”

“Being asked to be the ambassador for Nail Stamping Queen Kingdom, one of my favorite nail art brands of my career so far,” smiles Hannah. I have been using NSQ products since my first course in February 2021 and was only self-employed for 3 months before being asked about the job.

"Honestly, I don't think so, but it's very simple. Instagram can be difficult because sometimes you don't get seen or sometimes your work doesn't get appreciated. For me, that was very important."

"My ultimate goal in 2023 is to work as a full-time nail technician," she says. "I'm not sure about my long-term goals for my sprinting career, it's something I still have to think about.

"I know my future will be something in the nail industry. Whether it's opening my own salon, working for a nail brand, or training to become a teacher. That's the beauty of the nail industry, the possibilities are endless."
