Not all tools are successful. And it turns out that very few of them are directly affected. The electronics giant known as CES 2023 is in the books and has unveiled a number of strange gadgets , from a pee-reading toilet to a cutting board with a screen. But if we go back to the old CES show?
Over the past 20 years, I've seen devices so amazing that sometimes it seems like they only exist because journalists like me write about them. But it's time to tell the truly awful people from the worst to the worst. Broom shoes, toilet paper robots, MP3 guns, it's time to shine!
The most interesting thing about this scam gallery is that some of these products (Pepe's Pet Dryer, Happyfork and Husme to name a few) are still being sold today. It's true: you are crazy, crazy!
Dyson Zone Air Purifier
It's not technically a CES product, as it was announced in 2022, but Dyson showed off the Zone speakers in Las Vegas during CES 2023. While it sounds like the Zone is supposed to be a COVID mask, sadly it doesn't. According to Dyson's website, development of the area began in 2016 as a personal air purifier, primarily for pollution, and was never intended to protect against COVID. Additionally, one reviewer stated that forcing fans of the tool could increase your chances of contracting the coronavirus. Testing it out at Dyson's UK headquarters, CNET's Katie Collins thought it was " overwhelmingly good and weird to ignore ."

Cute robot
Computer peripheral maker Razer is the king of creating "look at me" products specifically for CES, but its toilet paper brand Charmin has made a name for itself for this 2020 entry. That's right, the year panicky toiletries were bought Card came a robot that can bring you more! Opportunity? Yes probably. Rollbot was never an original product, but we still love/hate it.

Hummingbird Smart Toothbrush
Remember when we had to wash our hands for 20 seconds while each other sang ? The same method applies when brushing your teeth, but why treat your brain and lips like popsicles? There have been many clever toothbrushes over the years, but today I choose the Colibri. All was well until the "world's first connected electric toothbrush" appeared. happy birthday happy birthday to you...

MP3 Taser Notes
The iPod became a cultural phenomenon in the 2000s, leading every company to produce its own MP3 player . This led to one of the dumbest CES products in recent memory: the Tazer MP3 case. Imagine trying to not only upload your notes, but connect them via USB to your computer to fill them with 1GB of music.

Pet dryer
Want your dog or cat to find a new way to hate you forever? Lock them in a dense cage for 25 minutes (!) and expose them to hot air. This torture device/dryer combo can set you back $660, or you can throw a towel at your wet dog like a normal human being.

happy thorn
Throughout history, many tools have been designed to limit normal human behavior, but this tool takes the cake. HapiFork is another market that asks you to eat your meals more slowly (over 20 minutes apart), with the idea that you're less likely to overeat. Personally, I eat my food like I'm in prison and worse, Happyfork. I will eat with my hands if necessary! You are not my boss!

the silence
Hushme is literally a "dumb" product - it's designed to silence other people around it. It's considered useful around the locals, but...if a colleague of mine gave me one, he'd wear it flat, to clean up the bits that were happily stomped on.

Bilty
The original belt was a simple smart belt with a motor inside that adjusted whether you were eating or sitting. Not practical as hell, but pretty cool? Although there is a new model, also called Beltio, it is more unusual: there is no automatic shape, but it has a power bank charger in the loop. Well, two things. I don't want an unstable one near my work, nor do I want an array of devices attached to it.

Puma Zybernaut
First shown at CES 1998, the Hitachi Xybernaut laptop was a terrible idea long before Google Glass caught the attention of Babak Pervez. The Windows CE-based Xybernaut Poma offers a 128MHz RISC processor and 32MB of RAM for under $1,499, plus it straps to your hand, face, and belt!

Thick vacuum shoes
Shoes. You use them. Wear it, buy more. But it's not exciting now, is it? They need things inside: telephones, flares, rollers and… vacuum cleaners? I could make a lot of puns on the Denso vacuum shoes, but their existence was the biggest joke.
